Seller stated: The contemporary family member was William Luckett (died July 19th 1855) but the handwritten records inside the Bible predate William, starting with John Luckett who was married at Witney on 12th May 1788. A blank page opposite the St. Matthews Gospel has a ‘Register of Births & Deaths’ from William Luckett 1855 through to Private William Luckett of the 26th Battalion Royal Fusiliers who was killed in action on the Somme 15th September 1916. He is buried at Gueudecourt. Some later family members have been added up until 1956. Enclosed loose papers relate other details; the Greenwood family (1818 – 1931); the Lucketts up to Sarah Ann Luckett (died July 23rd 1931). Also includes extracts from Kelly’s Directory of Oxfordshire 1864. Two blank pages following Revelations have hand written details of earlier Lockett family members; John Luckett 1788 onwards.

Mr. and Mrs. Michael CULLEN have the sympathy of their large circle of friends in the death of their child, Helen. Although but an infant, she was greatly beloved. The funeral occurred yesterday afternoon from the family residence, No. 267 Second avenue, in charge of Undertaker PHILLIPS.
