Educated at Harvard College, Cambridge.

Member of the Class of '63.

Enlisted in 44th Regt U.S.V. - Aug. 1862.

Mustered out with Regt June 19 1863.

Entered New York General Theo. Seminary as a Candidate for Holy Orders the same year.

Ordained to the Deaconate by the Rt. Rev. Horatio POTTER D.C.L.  Bishop of New York at the Church of the Annunciation N.Y. City.

Entered upon the active work, working as an Assistant to Rev. Dr.Alex VINTON & as Missionary in charge of S. Mark's Mission Chapel on the same day as the Ordination - viz July 1 1866.

Received Priest's Orders from Bp. PORTER at the Church of S. John the Baptist N.Y. City Dec. 23 1866.

Resigned S. Mark's Mission - May 1867.

Elected Rector of S. John's Farmingham, MA.
