to present are on file in this office for persons who were born or died
in one of the five boroughs of New York City. This includes
Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx and Staten Island.
Earlier birth and death records are available at the
New York City marriage records are on file at the
NY City Clerk.
New York divorce records are on file in the county
where the divorce was granted. Divorce certificates are on file at
the NY state office of vital records but the actual records and decree
are on file at the County Clerk's office.
