Red Willow County Obituary Index.  Located at the McCook Daily Gazette.  Includes an archive of 2001-present day obituaries from the McCook Daily Gazette newspaper.

Carson Appeal Newspaper Index.  (This database is now included in the University of Nevada - Nevada Newspapers on Microfilm along with many other Nevada newspapers.)  Located at the Nevada State Library and Archives.  Includes obituaries and death notices published in the Carson Appeal Newspaper.  Covers years 1865-1866, 1897-1880, 1881 and 1885-1886.

Clark County - Las Vegas Review Journal Obituaries Archive.  Located at the Las Vegas Review Journal newspaper site.  Includes a searchable archive of obituaries published in the Las Vegas Review.  Covers years 2000-2009.

Mineral County, Nevada Obituary and Death Index.  Located at Cactus Gem's Garden.  Contains information from the Mineral County Independent-News and Gunter's Funeral Home along with submitted data for Mineral, Nye and Esmeralda Counties.

Pershing County, Nevada Record of Deaths 1919-1936.  Located at USGenWeb Archives.  Contains death records found in a handwritten book: Pershing County Record of Deaths 1919-1936 located at the Pershing County Courthouse.

Conway, New Hampshire Death Index.  Located at Conway Public Library.  Includes 1887-1989 death indexes along with some marriage records.

New Hampshire Obituary Index.  Located at New Hampshire USGenWeb.  Includes NH obituaries submitted by readers.

The Hunterdon County Democrat Search Engine and Transcriptions.  Located at Dennis Sutton's "Home Home Grown in The Garden State" site.  Includes 1838-1900 extractions of articles which contain genealogical data from The Hunterdon County Democrat Newspapers.

The Hunterdon Gazette Index.  Located at Hunterdon County Historical Society.  Includes an index of 19,700 death notices and articles published between 1825 and 1856 in The Hunterdon Gazette.

Trenton Chronilogical Index.  Located at Trenton Historical Society.  Includes 1856, 1857, 1863, 1870, and 1871 articles index from "The True American" newspaper.

Trenton Obituary Indexes.  Now located at the Trenton Historical Society.  The Old Hill Mill Society is currently working on additions to this index.  Includes 1901-1918 and 1984 obituaries from the Trenton Sunday Advertiser. 

1899-1940 New Mexico Death Index Project.  Located at New Mexico USGenWeb.  Index to death records created by volunteers.

Clovis News-Journal Obituary Index.  Located at the Curry County NMGenWeb.  The index includes obituaries which appeared in the Clovis News-Journal Newspapers between 1912 and 2005.  Instructions for ordering copies of the actual obituaries found in these indexes.

Brooklyn Daily Eagle Newspaper Online.  Includes actual newspaper images from 1841-1902.

Dansville, NY Area Obituary Search Engine.  Located at Dansville Public Library.  Searches 1964 - present day obituaries from local Dansville newspapers.

New York Obituary Index.  Located at RootsWeb, the index contains many obituaries from across the state for various years.

New York Times Death Notices Index. Includes death notices from the New York Times newspapers beginning in 1929.  (work in progress). 

Rochester Life Records Database.  Located at the Rochester, NY Library.  Features birth, death and marriage notices from the City of Rochester newspapers.  Includes the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle, and the Times-Union newspapers.  Covers years 1960 to 2006.

Waterville, NY Obituary Index.  Located at the Oneida County USGenWeb.  Includes 1856-1895 obituaries from "The Waterville Times" newspapers.

Winfield Star Death Index.  Located at Herkimer County USGenWeb Project.  This resource is an index of deaths extracted from the newspaper "The Winfield Star" for years 1860-1952.  The index may also contain death information on people from the neighboring counties of Madison, Oneida and Otsego.

Columbus County Newspaper Indexes.  Located at the Columbus County Library Sources.  Features newspaper indexes 1924-1981, The News Reporter Index 1982-1991 and 1998-1999, and The News Reporter Index 1992+.

Johnston County, Smithfield Obituaries Search Engines.  Located at Johnston County Heritage Center.  Searches 1885-2002 obituaries from the Smithfield Herald newspaper.

New Bern Obituary Index Search Engine.  Located at New Bern, Craven County Public Library.  Searches 1751 - 1884 and 1968 - present day obituaries from local New Bern area newspapers.

North Carolina Family Records Online.  Located at the State Library and State Archives of North Carolina.  This searchable database features death and marriage notices from the Raleigh Register and the North Carolina State Gazette along with several old family Bibles.  Completely searchable and results return the original document to be viewed.

Washington County Death Records Index.  Located at Washington County USGenWeb.  Includes 1913-1980 Death Records.

Wayne County Newspaper Abstracts.  Located at the Wayne County Public Library.  Features abstracts of obituaries from the Goldsboro Messenger and Goldsboro Headlight covering years 1869-1903.  Also found at this site are births and marriages abstracted from newspapers.

Fargo Forum Obituary Index Search Engine.  Located at North Dakota State University.  Searches 1901-present day obituaries from The Fargo Forum newspaper.  Copies of obituaries may be ordered.

Golden Valley Newspapers.  Located at Golden Valley County GenWeb.  Transcriptions of extractions of births, marriages and deaths from local newspapers.  Includes 1908-1917 extracts from The Beach Advance and 1907-1908 extracts from the Golden Valley Chronicle.

North Dakota Funeral Home Records Index.  Located at the Red River Valley Genealogical Society.  A database of Funeral Home records covering years 1903-1997.  Counties covered are Cass, Foster, Griggs, Richland and Steele.  The society also offers obituary research for a fee.

North Dakota Public Death Index.  Located at the North Dakota Department of Health.  The database indexes death certificates on file.  The search is tricky.  You must use the exact format (mm/dd/yyyy) for dates or you will not be given any search results.  Certificates may be ordered using the information found in the index.

1913-1937 Ohio Death Index.  Located at The Ohio Historical Society.

Amherst News-Times Obituaries Index.  Located at the Amherst Library.  Features a searchable database of obituaries published in the Amherst Newspapers from the 1980s to the 2000s.

Ashtabula County Obituary Notebook Index.  Located at the Ashtabula County Public Library.  Features over 16,700 obituaries and death notices from Ashtabula County newspapers and other historical documents.  Covers the years 1896 to the present.  Some of the newspapers include the Ashtabula Star Beacon and the Conneaut News Herald,  Copies may be requested.

Cincinnati Obituary Search Engine.  Located at Cincinnati. com.  Includes obituaries 2004 to present day published in The Cincinnati Enquirer and The Cincinnati Post newspapers.

Clark County, Ohio Obituary Index Search Engine.  Located at Clark County Public Library.  Searches 1926 - present day obituaries from the Springfield newspaper. (This database has been merged into the Rutherford B. Hayes database.)

Cleveland Necrology File Search Engine.  Located at the Cleveland Public Library.  Searches 1833-1975 Death Notices from local Cleveland area newspapers.

Cleveland News Index Search Engine.  Located at the Cleveland Public Library.  Searches 1976-present day obituaries from local Cleveland, Ohio publications and newspapers.

Columbus News Index Obituary Search Engine.  Located at Columbus Metropolitan Library.  Searches 1932-1997 obituaries from The Columbus Dispatch Newspaper.

Granville Times Obituary Indexes.  Located at Kinfinder.com.  Includes 1880-1941 obituaries from The Granville Times newspaper.

Hancock County Obituary Index.  Located at the Findlay - Hancock County Public Library.  Searchable by name, date, newspaper and cemetery.  Features an index of obituaries from local Hancock County newspapers from the mid 1800s to present time.  Newspapers include the Morning Republican, The Courier, The Republican Courier and the Findlay Weekly Jeffersonian.

Lawrence County Obituary Indexes.  Located at The Lawrence Register.  Includes 1850-2001 obituaries from local newspapers.

Licking County Obituaries and Death Notices.  Located at Kinfinder.com.  Features obituaries and deaths recorded in The Granville Times from years 1880 to1941.

Lima Obituary Index Search Engine.  This index is now included in the Rutherford B. Hayes Collection.  Searches 1940 to present day obituaries from local Lima newspapers.

Louisville Public Library Obituary Database.  Located at Louisville Public Library.  Includes over 24,754 obituaries 1887-present from the Louisville Herald and other local sources. (dead link - library site is in transition Feb 2010)

Miami Valley Genealogical Index.  Located at the Preble County District Library.  Search engine for a large variety of marriage, tax, wills, census and other genealogical records.  Fantastic genealogy record resource!

MOLO Obituary Index Search Engine.  Searches obituaries from the Coshocton Tribune, 1980 - present Dresden Transcript, Holmes County Journal, Loudonville Advocate, Loudonville Democrat, Loudonville Times, and 1863 - present from the Massillon Independent.

Genealogical & Historical Records of Preble County, Ohio.  Located at Preble County District Library.  Searches obituaries 1960-1968 and 1970-1982.  Includes many marriage records.  Work in progress.

Ross County Death Records - Contains indexes for obituaries and death notices found in the Scioto Gazette and the Chillicothe Advertiser from the 1840s to 1860s with information on how to obtain full copies of these items from the newspapers.

Stark County Genealogical Records 1815-1899.  Located at Stark County Public Library.  Includes marriage, divorce, administration and death notices from the Ohio Repository.

Stark County Obituaries Index.  Located at Stark County Public Library.  Includes 1900-1939 obituaries from the Canton Repository.

Wayne County Obituary Index.  Located at Wayne County Public Library.  Includes 1890 - 1969 and 2000s obituaries from local area newspapers.  The library also holds other online genealogy databases.

Wood County Obituary Search Engine.  Located at Wood County Public Library.  Searches over 60,000 obituaries 1848-present day from most of the Wood County Newspapers.

Worthington News Index.  Located at the Worthington Public Library.  Features a searchable index of articles and items, including obituaries published in the following newspapers: This Week in Worthington 2000-2003; Western Intelligencer 3-6-1812 to 3-10-1813; Worthington News 3-12-1925 to 2-5-1942; and Worthington News 2000-2002.

Antlers American Obituary Index.  Located at the Pushmataha County USGenWeb.  The index includes years 1940-2004 death mentions and obituaries from the Antlers American newspaper which is published in Antlers, OK.  Copies may be ordered from the Antlers American or the Pushmataha County Historical Society.  More information is found on the site.

Garfield OK Obituary Index. Files originally located at the Enid Public Library but this index is located at the Garfield County Genealogists Inc.

Latimer County Obituary Index. Located at the Latimer County Historical and Genealogical Society.  Currently, it is complete from 1904-1980 and the society is still working on years 1981-2003.  Full obituaries may be requested from the society.

Muskogee Newspaper Oklahoma Death and Obituary Indexes.  Located at the Muskogee County Genealogical Society.  Features indexes of obituaries and death notices published in the Muskogee Daily Phoenix.  Covers years 1918 to present day.

Oklahoma Historical Society Newspaper Article Database.  A citation database for birth notices, death notices, obituaries and marriage notices.  Searchable by name, title of newspaper, article title, subject, place names, authors, and date.  This database includes citations from hundreds of Oklahoma newspapers.

Tulsa Funeral Home Records.  Located at the Tulsa Genealogical Society Library.  Features an index of Tulsa funeral home records from Moore's Funeral Home 1927-1980, Moore's Eastlawn Funeral Home 1966-1980, Ninde's Funeral Home 1917-1980, Whisenhunt's Funeral Home 1929 to 1983, Stanley's Funeral Home 1909-1981, Winterringer Funeral Home 1906-1910, Lane Funeral Home 1934-1949, Fitzgerald Funeral Home 1936-1980 and Heath-Griffith Funeral Home 1967-1984.  Index info includes full name of deceased and the volume and page number where the record is located.

Eugene Register Guard Index.  Located at the Eugene Public Library.  Searches 1963-2003 citations about local people and issues from Lane County Register-Guard newspapers.

Jackson County Obituary Index.  Located at the Jackson County Genealogical Society.  These obituaries are extracted from local newspapers: Ashland Daily Tidings, Medford Mail Tribune, and the Upper Rogue Independent of Eagle Point.  They cover years 1867-2006.  Copies of obituaries may be requested from the society.  The society also features Jackson County Cemetery Indexes.

Lane County - Eugene Register Guard Index.  Located at the University of Oregon Library.  Features an index of over 30,000 articles occurring in the Eugene Register Guard newspaper from 1963 to 2003.  Includes many obituaries.

Multnomah County Obit Index.  Located at the Genealogical Forum of Oregon.  Features an index of obituaries from local Multnomah County newspapers. including The Capital Journal, Oregon Journal, The Oregonian, The Bulletin, The Tigard Times, Newberg Graphic, Eugene Register Guard, Hood River News, Mostly Oregon, The Statesman and more.  Copies of obituaries may be requested for a small fee.
