I tried Newspaper Subject Keyword and when typing in a surname got a
list of names, most of them being obituaries from local Florence

Kershaw County Obituaries. Located at the Camden Archives
and Museum. Features an index to Kershaw County obituaries from
local newspapers which they have on file. These are for more
recent years although they do have other obituary collections in their
archives.
Richland County Obituary Index. Located at the Richland
County Public Library. Database is searchable by name, maiden name
and keywords. Features an index to obituaries published in the
following newspapers:
- The State (years 1892-1923 and 1960-1963)
- The Palmetto Leader (years 1925-1928 and 1930)
- The State for World War II servicemen killed in action (years
1941-1949)

Memphis Appeal. The index includes years 1843-1859 and 1860-1866

exclusion of 1850.
