Located at the Rogue Valley Genealogical Society.  Features an historical index of delayed birth records 1863-1910 and birth announcements from local newspapers of Ashland, Eagle Point, Jacksonville and Medford.  Covers years 1876-2006.

Jackson County Death Certificate Indexes

Located at the Rogue Valley Genealogical Society.  Features an historical index of death certificates on file for Jackson County, OR.  Covers years 1904-1935.

Multnomah County Historical Death Index

Located at the Genealogical Forum of Oregon.  Features an index of early death records in Portland, Oregon.  This work is still in progress.  Copies of death certificates found in this death index may be ordered for a small fee.

Multnomah County Historical Marriage Index

Located at the Genealogical Forum of Oregon.  Features a searchable index of over 29,000 marriages which occurred in Multnomah County, Oregon.  Covers years 1855-1908.  Records found in the index may be ordered for a small fee.

Oregon Historical Records Index

Located at the Oregon State Archives.  Features a database searchable by name, year, record type, and county.  Includes a variety of records such as divorce, marriage, delayed birth, naturalizations and more.

Portland Death Records Index

Located at the Oregon State Archives.  Features a historical searchable database of deaths which occurred in Portland from March 1881 to September 1917.  Information included in these records are: date, name of deceased, age at time of death, nativity, cause of death, volume number.  This index is a list of actual death certificates on file in Portland.... or the information was taken from the Portland death register.

Western States Historical Marriage Record Index

Includes marriages from selected counties in states including: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.  Contains almost 400,000 marriage records now and it continues to grow.  Search by bride, groom, state and county.

Obtaining Oregon Vital Records

State of Oregon Center for Health Statistics

The Oregon State Office of Vital Records holds birth certificates and death certificates in their files from July 1903 to present time.  They also hold Marriage certificates from 1906 and Divorce certificates (not the actual divorce decree) from 1925.  There are some restrictions on Oregon vital records - 100 years on birth records and 50 years on death records.

The State of Oregon Center for Health also offers Heirloom Birth Certificates.

Non certified death record copies older than 50 years and some early marriage prior to 1906 are available from the Oregon State Archives.

Oregon Marriage records including those prior to 1906 are on file in the County Marriage Offices in the county where the marriage occurred and copies may be obtained in those local county offices.
