Dr. ROGERS, Specialist

Frank W. ROGERS, a native of Ohio, was born at Norwalk, April 3, 1863, and is therefore 27 years of age.  This will convince people who insist his age to be either 20 or 36.

Genealogy places him in the eleventh generation of John ROGERS, that man of indomitable steadfastness and grit, of Smithfield, England, fame.  It is known that that man was a radical, enthusiast and a crank in all his beliefs, and that no one can claim his ancestry who has not inherited some of these characteristics which in this day may be called Yankee virtue.

The doctor claims no idea of longevity, possibly into the second century,  being one of five continuous generations living, headed by his mothers grandparent, Martin KELLOGG of Huron county, well known by all pioneers of Ohio, and who is still vigorous in his 105th year.

The doctor was reared mostly in farm life.  When eight years old his parents moved to Norwalk, though the old farm was reserved seemingly for a gymnasium when he was not in school.

Footnotes: This family Bible was posted for sale on Ebay by seller: fairyblue1.  The Bible has a page of birth records, death records, marriage records and a newspaper article about Dr. Frank W. Rogers which includes his photo.  According to seller, there is an original marriage certificate for Samuel Rogers and Fanny Wilson.
