South Dakota Department of Health Office of Vital Records

The South Dakota Office of Vital Records holds marriages, divorces, birth certificates and death certificates on file from 1905 to present day.  The Register of Deeds in each of South Dakota's 64 counties have birth records on file for all counties in SD.  Marriages and death records are on file at the Register of Deeds in the county where the event occurred.
